Weekend in Edmonton

We're driving back from Edmonton so I thought I would pass time writing in my blog. We had a nice weekend, Spencer had a conference in Edmonton. APEGGA, the engineering association put us up in a fancy hotel downtown and fed us way too much good food, we actually ate Salmon 3 times this weekend. All the fanciness is almost wasted on me but I think many of the other people at the conference just expect that type of treatment, I'm not sure I'll ever fit in and I hope I never do. I spent my time eating, shopping by myself, which I love, and hanging out with my sister. When I went to the mall I shopped for what I wanted, I didn't have to tell anyone to stay close to me, or wait for anyone to try anything on, I loved it. I noticed that Emily Osment was going to be doing an autograph session at the mall so I stuck around for it and talked to another nice mother from Quebec. Emily Osment acted in Hannah Montana as Lily and is a recording artist now.
We were able to visit with family while we were in Edmonton, we had such a good time. I went to my sister's house for a couple hours and played with my nephews and we played Beatles RockBand, it was sweet.  Kali stayed at Spencer's brothers house all weekend... Thank you Stan and Sh'Nell, you rock; we got to stay there and hang out on Saturday and Sunday. I realized how much I miss being close to Sh'Nell, we get a long so well, I hope we can live closer someday.
Saturday evening we had a fun party at Butler's new house, it was good times. I'm so glad that some of my greatest friends who I missed so much could be there, we can all just pick up where we left off, it's great. We ate lots of great food and had fun visiting, Barb lives a block from the beach so us and all the kids loved hanging out there.
I sure love reminiscing and seeing all my old friends, and I'm also very happy to live in Medicine Hat and to have the friends I do.

    It can be nice when you get trips party covered so you can enjoy yourself. Glad to hear it was a nice time.

    Hey It is great to hear from you !That sounded like a lot of fun !But the eating is what I do best around here ,except singing and dancing |Etc . give Kali and Spencer big hugs !Love from beautiful Nauvoo
